Mr. V and the Falcon Singers have been working very hard to prepare for their Vocal assessment coming up on March 10th at Hagerty High School. The event begins at 6pm and we are scheduled to perform at 6:30pm.

We are proud to announce the four members of our program who have been selected to participate in the 2016 FBA MS All District Jazz Band this year:
Alexis Miller (2nd tenor sax), Christian Clem (lead trombone), Caleb Allen (bass trombone) and Noah Campbell (3rd trumpet)
All of the student musicians who were selected will rehearse and hold a concert on Saturday, April 30th at 1pm at Mount Dora High School.
We are headed to OrlandoFest (a musical festival held at Universal Studios) on April 2, where we will have the opportunity to perform for esteemed judges and participate in an educational clinic. Activities like these reinforce teamwork while providing opportunities for personal and ensemble growth.
Our students are diligently fundraising to help pay for this trip and any help we receive from the community will greatly appreciated by me, the proud Director and by the students and their families.

Join us for a full-length holiday Jazz Band performance at Clermont Middle School’s auditorium. Admission is free and concessions will be available.
Our Fall concert is upon us tomorrow evening, Thursday October 15. The Flight of Sound Jazz Ensemble and Falcon Singers will be performing on the stage of the Clermont Middle School Auditorium at 7pm. Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy great music from these fabulous and inspiring young people. Special guest Matt Cremisio will be our Choral accompanist and will also perform with the Jazz Band! Admission is free for everyone although donations are encouraged. A concession stand will be available for light drinks and snacks.

Students and parents will be given needed information necessary for the smoothest transition possible from elementary to middle school. They will also be able to walk the campus, help the students get familiar with class location, bus drop off and pick up location, car rider drop off and pick up location, bus routes, and more!

Students and parents will obtain schedules in the Auditorium and be able to walk the campus for the purposes of classroom location and other pertinent information necessary to aid our 8th graders in a great start to their final year as middle schoolers.
The Charms calendar has been updated to reflect all of the major events for the upcoming school year. The calendar on the music department web site is a direct reflection of the Charms calendar. If you want basic information, this web site will provide that, but for details about a specific event, you will have to log in to your Charms account.
Please mark your calendars now and plan accordingly. Dates about rehearsals and other smaller events will be announced as they are needed, but, as always, with at least a week’s notice, per the handbook.
